Sprint to the East Coast (June 2023)

Bill Souders

Updated: Sep 5, 2023

This solo trip was intended to maintain a pace of ~400 miles a day, with dispersed camping every night, following the historic Pony Express Trail for much of the way.

High deserts, purple mountains majesty, old mining towns, the continental divide, the plains, amber waves of grain, massive wind generators, hotel parking lots to watch the NBA finals, the mighty Mississippi, crowded freeways in the east - the trip had it all!
