The Hamptons - May 2024

After spending a week in Manhattan, we rented a car to travel the 125 miles out to the eastern tip of Long Island. We had never been out to the storied Hamptons before. It was a wonderful way to unwind after a hectic week spent tromping around Times Square and Broadway, weaving through the traffic under the perpetually illuminated digital billboards.

Our homebase was a charming Airbnb

on the edge of a lily pond.

It was somewhat pre-season (a week before Memorial Day) so it was easy to travel around, from Montauk Point to Southampton to Sag Harbor. For a short stay, we got to enjoy lots of variety, including nature walks, beachcombing, strolls down quaint streets, and some fine dining.
